About Amaka O. Flynn

Nneamaka Osemene Flynn (Amaka) was born December 18, 1972 in Nigeria and raised in Columbia, South Carolina.   Ms. Flynn is married and has lived with her husband Darrell, two children, Justin,7 and Charleigh,5 in Garner for over 8 years.   She earned her BS degree in Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Masters of Art in Counseling from North Carolina Central University.   Ms. Flynn has worked for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for thirteen years.  Her Board Service includes: Aversboro Elementary School PTA, State Employees Credit Union Advisory Council, Wake County School Board District Two Advisory Council, and the Garner Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, to name a few.  Ms. Flynn also serves as the Chair of the Area 10 Employee Political Action Committee (EMPAC) for the State Employees Association of North Carolina and also Vice Chair for the Statewide EMPAC.  Ms. Flynn attends Victory Fellowship Church and has served in the children’s ministry for the past 4 years.
